karyotype: This is a pseudo-diploid cell line of female origin with a modal chromosome count of 46 and a low-to-moderate rate of polyploidy. However, even though the line generally has 46 chromosomes per cell, several of those 46 were derivative or marker chromosomes. There were two copies of a karyotypically normal X-chromosome present in 50-60% of the cells. Other features included a normal variation in the heterochromatic region of chromosome 1 (1qh+), a consistent derivative-10 marker chromosome (present in most cells) and 2 other markers: del(3)(p24?) and del(16)(q21~23?) (present in approximately 20-30% of the analyzed cells). Overall, approximately 3-8 marker chromosomes were present in the analyzed metaphase spreads and satellite associations appeared sporadically |

karyotype: The cell line shares many properties with the parent tumor line including same karyology. This is a hypertriploid human cell line. The modal chromosome number is 82, occurring at 32%, with polyploidy at 8.6%. (Cells with 80 chromosome counts also occurred at a high frequency.) There were two paired [der(1)t(1;?) (p32;?), and der(11)t(2;11) (q22.1;p13)], and three to four single markers consistently found in each cell. Several other markers were also found in some cells only, including a small metacentric chromosome of unknown origin. Neither DMs nor HSRs were detected. Among the normal chromosomes, N11 had only single copy, and N1, N6, N8, N9, and N16 had two copies each. As expected, other normal chromosomes had three to four copies per cell. Two X chromosomes were generally found in each cell |

karyotype: This is a human cell line with hyperpentaploid chromosome count. The modal chromosome number should be around 128 to 132. The rate of cells with higher ploidies was 1.39%. Fourteen to 16 marker chromosomes were common to most cells. They were: der(1)t(1;?) (p36;?), i(6p), der(10)t(10;?) (q24;?), der (19)t(19;?) (q13;?), der(15)t(15;?) (q26?;?), minute metacentric and eight to ten others. Most of these structurally altered markers had complex interchromosomal exchanges. The der(10) and der(19) could be formed from a balanced translocation, i.e., t(10;19) (q24;q13). These two markers and the minute metacentric were present in three or more copies in most cells. There were six or more copies for N5, N7, N11, N13, N20, N21, and N22 in most cells. The X and N15 had only one copy |
